      <image:caption>Having worked in the fitness industry for over 17 years, I love helping people make the changes they desire to their health and fitness levels. As a personal trainer and Pilates instructor, my teaching sessions include lower back pain reduction and other joint therapy exercise, group and one to one Pilates classes, falls prevention classes, as well as one-to-one fitness training including nutrition coaching. After working for many years as a ski instructor, I qualified as a fitness instructor in April 2008 and I have since worked in gyms, clients homes, village halls, leisure centres and my own private studio where I get the same rewarding feelings meeting new people, developing their new skills and knowledge and enhancing their lives. My job enables me to meet many people of varying ages, backgrounds, abilities and fitness levels. Red Forest Fitness has been running since October 2012. I enjoy making exercise more interesting for people and find it very rewarding when people achieve their goals. I use my knowledge and experience to ensure personalised training programmes taking into consideration your specific goals, needs and likes, keeping the training sessions varied, effective and enjoyable. I will give you the knowledge to understand how your body works and responds to various influences. I specialise in lower back pain reduction and also falls prevention and postural stability exercise for the older adult, and have specific interests in core strength, nutrition and weight management, fitness training for snow sports and Pilates.</image:caption>

      <image:caption>Personal training is a great way to help achieve many goals from weight loss or gain, adding muscle mass or toning up, to improving medical conditions or general well-being. Personal training sessions are in 30 or 60 minute sessions, which can incorporate nutrition and weight management advice as well. We will start with a complimentary session of approximately 30 minutes where we will discuss your goals, likes and needs and come up with a plan to succeed. We will explain to you the type of exercise we will do and decide when and where to do it. We ask you to wear suitable clothes for exercise such as training shoes, tracksuit bottoms, leggings or shorts, and a comfortable t-shirt, vest or top. We also recommend that you bring a towel and a water bottle and something warm to wear when you have finished exercising.</image:caption>

We also offer personal training sessions at Wellow Fitness Centre which is just outside Romsey town centre, here we have completely private gym rooms and you do not have to wait for equipment to become free. Both venues provide a great opportunity to exercise in a non-intimidating environment, and is ideal for those who have never exercised before, those who are anxious about going to a bigger communal gym, those who have disabilities or medical conditions or experienced exercisers who require some guidance or motivation. Alternatively we can come to your home or garden, use Zoom for online training or go to the great outdoors with the relevant equipment, or use the natural props around us.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Falls Prevention - “Steady and Strong” falls prevention These sessions are designed for over 65's (or anyone younger who may benefit) who are beginning to feel less stable and confident when walking or performing daily living activities. Physical activity, i ncluding strength and balance, is vital for healthy ageing. Steady and Strong classes are designed to help people to improve their strength and balance, helping you to live independently for longer and avoid falls. Exercises are done both seated and standing, with chair support for those who require it.</image:title>
